I recently sat down with my Melanie Wade, my friend and colleague from BNB Professional Networking group here is Moncton, New Brunswick. Melanie agreed to share her experience with Bios Life Matcha as an excited consumer. Check it out.

Health-promoting benefits of Matcha

To know what is happening here with this experience it is important to understand a little more about the benefits of Matcha green tea. Matcha is turbo charged green tea, containing much higher concentrations of nutritional value.

Matcha green tea powder is actually the entire green tea leaves ground to a super-fine consistency, resulting in extremely high concentrations of the health promoting constituents of green tea. Click here for more about the benefits of Matcha.

Easing the Pain – Evidence

Arthritis Today magazine named Matcha as one of the Top 3 Foods that may help to Ease Pain. Here is what the article stated.

“The antioxidants in Matcha, powdered green tea leaves, may reduce inflammation and slow cartilage breakdown”. Now that is a powerful statement from this magazine publication.

Support Your Immunity

Prevention Magazine published in article in November 2012 titled, “10 Delicious Drinks That Support Your Immunity”, and naming Matcha as one of those top drinks. Here’s what they said about Matcha.

Matcha is a powdered form of green tea, and has the same immune pumping ingredients but in 10 times the concentration. The antioxidants and medicinal compounds in matcha tea can help you fight off viruses and bacteria, and even abnormal cells. They also help reduce inflammation, support cardiovascular health, improve energy and focus, and balance hormones.

Matcha green tea is the most potent form of green tea in the world today due to the fact that it is made from entire tea leaves ground to a super-fine, and it is an easily assimilated powder.

Published Study

A study at the University of Colorado and published in the Journal of Chromatography (Sept 5, 2003) showed that Matcha green tea has approximately 137 times more EGCG (the potent cancer fighting green tea anti-oxidant) than regular brewed green tea.

The trend is unfolding…do something about it. Its not just about a fantastic super exciting product like Bios Life Matcha. It is about the opportunity that it brings in changing your life.

Are you curious as to how much Caffeine is to much to consume on a daily basis? The question often comes up if Matcha contains caffeine. So I did a little research and here is how we can best put this into perspective.

A Safe Daily Dosage of Caffeine

The American Chemical Society reports that the daily safe does of caffeine for a healthy adult is 400mg and 75mg for a 10 year old child.

This report went on to state that low dose caffeine effects are wakefulness, a little bit of arousal, and slight euphoria; while high dose effects are anxiety, irritation, and general mental discomfort a complete opposite.

According to a report by Chemical & Engineering News and published by the American Chemical Society (AEC), Starbucks Grand coffe has 330 milligrams of caffeine per cup, the medium-sized drink contains almost the entire “daily safe dose” of caffeine, which is 400 milligrams. Click here to download report.

Put it in Perspective

To help put our daily consumption of Caffeine into perspective the below chart shows where the Starbucks grand coffee and other caffeinated drinks measure up. This gives you an overall picture of caffeine sources and amounts per serving that you could be consuming each each day.

Caffeine is a Real Concern

As you can see from the chart if you are not careful, your caffeine consumption could get easily out of hand and far exceed your recommended daily amount of 400mg. This will eventually will take its toll on your health.

The Caffeine in Matcha

When looking at caffeine found in Bios Life Matcha, as a comparable source of caffeine, it is important to not only understand the difference in caffeine but also the amount of caffeine as well as the quality of caffeine.

The caffeine found in most drinks like Energy Drinks and Coffee are not the same as caffeine found in Matcha green tea. Here is just four of the many differences.

  • Amino acid L-Theanine

The caffeine in Bios Life Matcha is a ceremonial grade Chi-Oka Matcha and is uniquely different in that the amino acid L-Theanine works in synergy with the caffeine found naturally in Matcha.

  • Alkalizing

The caffeine in ceremonial grade Chi-Oka Matcha is alkalizing rather than the opposite—acidic. The caffeine in Matcha is uniquely different in that the amino acid L-Theanine works in synergy with the caffeine found in Matcha.

  • Matcha Caffeine Slow Release

This gradual and consistent release of energy from Ceremonial grade Chi-Oka Matcha provides the body with just the right amount of caffeine over a longer period of time rather than dumping a huge amount of caffeine into the body all at once. Matcha still has the same immediate boost, but not the extreme rush.

  • Matcha Caffeine Bonds with Nutrients

Where the caffeine in Matcha forms bonds with numerous nutrients found in the matcha plant, so that it enters the bloodstream in a time-release fashion, leading to a steady level energy over 3-6 hours, rather than a spike and crash within 1 hour.

Now is the time to replace your soda, coffee and energy drinks for the healthy energy and health benefits of Bios Life Matcha green tea. Not to mention all the sugar you would be removing by eliminating these drinks.
