Top 15 Lessons I Learned in 2012

Today is January 1, 2013…a New Day in a New Year. As I look ahead setting new goals and commitments I continue to reflect on all I learned in 2012.

The World Around Us

What we see in the world around is what we tend to expect and what we are seeing out there is just not positive.

We are all so busy in our lives today with work, family obligations, social activities, financial pressures and so many other stresses that just cause us to fall into the path of grinding through life.

Most of us have a desire and wish for more and we carry a Dream for a better future…but each year that passes something prevents us from actually doing something about it.

What Holds Us Back

In amongst all the day-to-day challenges we face in life it seems we have this perception that working towards a better future is “Work”…work in addition to all the other things we have to deal with. Some will start with good intentions but in the end will give up and do nothing, and continue doing the same thing as before never making any changes.

Its the Path of Least Resistance

I beleive that most don’t take action to move and stick with it despite the challenges is because they don’t want to be accountable or responsible. Maybe its just that people in general just want to be who they are, doing what they want to do, when they want to do it, and they don’t want any responsibility and pressure.

The act of taking a committed action is an act of Leading…and this act of leading means you are not just leading yourself you are leading others around you.

Acting on a Dream

Setting your sights on new beginnings and enjoying new experiences is one the greatest joys and ways to be engaged in life. It is really the only path to a new state of heightened sense of fulfillment and enthusiasm…all adding up to your increased Happiness.

The Dream allows you to see the end, it doesn’t show the process, nor the steps, you need to find courage to stay course and follow the pathway laid before you. You need to trust and believe that the way will be laid clear and invoke personal faith and the strength to keep going and overcome all obstacles that build your strength and conviction. ~ Darlene Long

When it comes to my experience both in my life and my business of mentoring and leading others to become network marketing professionals I consistently see others judging the results by Income as the first measurement…what they fail to consider is the results of Personal Growth.

A Two Year Journey

This has been the most exciting and rewarding journey of my life as I continue to tell My Story. But it was just recently that I discovered a few significant things about the past twelve months that has actually impacted me like no other year of my life.

The year of 2012 was the most incredible year for me personally and in my business. When I look back I see that it was actually during the year of 2011 that began my personal and professional growth that laid the foundation for what has become my story in 2012.
